Dr. Wael Ahmed is an associate professor at University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He is working in the thermo-fluid area with particular interest in multiphase flow analysis of water, food and energy systems.
Wael Ahmed received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 2005. He has four years of industrial experience with Atomic of Energy of Canada Ltd., and Nuclear Safety Solution before joining King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia in 2009.
During four years in the industry, he provided technical consultation to several Canadian power generation plants (OPG, Hydro-Quebec, Bruce Power, etc.) in the area of multiphase flow and flow accelerated corrosion. He attracted more than 2.7 million dollars research and project work from CANDU Owner Group, Gas-Tops, and Pratt& Whitney Canada, King Abdelaziz City for Science & Technology, ARAMCO oil company, Schlumberger, National Science & Technology Plan (NSTP), Saudi Arabia in the areas of Flow Accelerated Corrosion and multiphase flow.
Dr. Ahmed has authored or co-authored more than 35 papers that have appeared in reputable international journals and 32 papers published in conference proceedings. In addition, to several technical reports, he has been granted 7 patents, and published two books in the area of thermo-fluids science.
