Johnathan Szeliga

Masters Student

Johnathan completed his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph in 2013, majoring in Animal Biology. Since then he has worked at aquaculture production sites, obtaining experience in culturing practices for both Nile tilapia and rainbow trout. During this time he became familiar with maintaining water quality requirements necessary for ensuring optimal growth and health of the fish. He is now working on his master’s thesis in Animal Nutrition with Dr. Dominique Bureau, and has joined the Gryph Energy research team to study the gas mass transfer potential of the airlift for maintaining dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the water necessary to maintain optimal fish health in a production setting.
